December 15, 2012 I knew the one thing I wanted my wedding ring was to be unique and special to me – not mass-produced. My jewellery is quite chunky and almost masculine, so wanted my wedding ring to compliment the rest of my jewellery.
Being new to Geelong, I was unsure where to start. I called around a few places, and each was met with a rather disinterested, “not sure if we can do that”, or “we specialise in diamonds”, or “come and have a look at our range, you are bound to find something you will like here”.
Feeling like I was going to have to settle for something I was unhappy with, I then spoke with John. Relief! I told him I was after a thick band in yellow gold and platinum with roman numerals of our wedding date. His response was so different to everyone else I had spoken to. There was a genuine excitement in his voice: “Yes, come in, have a chat and we’ll draw up some designs,” he said.
As soon as I went to the Body & Soul showroom, I knew this man was an artist with a genuine love and passion for his work. Huge piles of jewellery design books littered his desk and – after a long chat and some rough drawings – a few months later I was presented with EXACTLY what I wanted. Not only had he completely nailed the design brief, he and his wife Kerri were an absolute delight to deal with.
If you are after something beautiful and unique – look no further than Body & Soul Jewellery.
